Today I'm Loving...

this soundtrack (never watched the show):
this white chocolate popcorn:
and this high pulp orange juice:
but I am hating this book!
I have been trying to get through this Pulitzer Prize winning book for a few weeks and I hate it and can't get myself to read it! I usually just push through even if I'm not liking a book. I can't remember the last book I started reading and didn't finish, but I think I want to give up on this book. Biggest offenses: I hate the main character, there's some potty language I don't appreciate, I don't love the message so far, and it's just kind of slow and boring. I am about half way through. Do I have your permission to quit? Has anyone else read this book?

you don't know me... I was just "blog hopping" but I totally give you permission to quit the book! :) i love to read and i read a lot of books... but there are a lot of times that i start a book, decide it's not awesome, and then just take it back to the library. i figure that there are so many great books in the world, there's no point wasting time on something that doesn't entertain and uplift you. :) there's no rule that says you have to finish a book... at least you gave it a shot. haha. :)

Life's too short. Dump the book and find something else you will enjoy reading.

The last thing you would want is to keep reading a book in the hopes that it'll get better. To me it sound like even if does get a little bit better, it'll still be a waste of time. You don't want to look back and say, "Yuck, why did I waste my time on that garbage?" If you're halfway through the book and it's like pulling teeth to read it...QUIT!

Quit. I've quit a lot of books in my life and have no guilt for it. Oh and did you make the popcorn? My mouth is watering! Yum.

Quit! There is nothing worse than when you finish reading a book that you were fighting through, only to figure out in the end that it never got better, and only left you disappointed and let down!

Permission granted. Don't waste your time on something that you don't enjoy doing just to say that you've never quit reading a book before finishing it. :)

Glee had a good pilot, then the show was just dirty, nasty. I can't watch it anymore without feeling like less of a person. So I watch on hulu and skip to the musical numbers...I did love the music!

That popcorn is yum!!! We need to have another game night, and now I will always assign you to bring that popcorn!

Quit the book. I have the Hunger Games if you're interested...but it definitely won't make you feel uplifted. A good read, though.

I love the music and musical numbers from Glee. They are a lot of fun. I don't like the story line of the show... like Holly mentioned, dirty. The OJ and popcorn look yummy...not together though. And I agree with everyone. Quit the book. Move onto another book you want to read. Ü

I LOVE the Glee soundtrack!!!

I say quit the book. I know what you mean, I hate giving up on something and I will usually just plow through too, but why torture yourself?

Glad I'm not the only one who thought Glee would be way cool, but ended up way dirty. The popcorn is good, I think I'll make it again in a couple weeks (when I go grocery shop again) I have wanted to read the Hunger Games books...you might not like them Con...from what I hear, could draw close to something like Lord Of The Flies. I love that, but you don't...you did get through the Lovely Bones though...
