Wow, I did not take very many pictures in December! And I can't really remember much of what went on. I guess that will teach me to skip 6 months of blogging.

We had multiple Santa visits throughout the month. Santa was hanging out at
Walmart one day, so the kids sat on his lap.

This year, Eden and I went to a local performance of the Nutcracker with the young women. One of the young women even performed and did a fabulous job!

Our own Santa visited us multiple times throughout the month. Levi was big into dressing up as Santa back in December. He even had me sit on his lap, until he told me I was crushing him.
We had a great Christmas morning, and enjoyed going to church on Christmas Day.
I found out I was pregnant on December 18
th. It was a Sunday. I remember feeling pretty weirded out at church. I had all the emotions going through me. Excitement, fear, worry, gratitude. Peter and I decided to try to keep the news a secret until I was past the first trimester, something we had never done. It was hard! We did end up telling my family at Christmas by wrapping a frame that matches all the other
grandkids' frames at my mom's house. We wrote Baby Shirley behind the glass. Everyone was pretty excited. It felt nice to tell someone!
We had a great time with our family in Nevada for Christmas. Eden was so happy to see
Amar'e.
She was so excited, she had a hard time keeping still!
And here she is with her cute new bob!
It has already grown out quite a bit since then. I think she is excited to have long hair again.
And last, but not least, here is the little peanut, in her first photo shoot! She looked good at about 10 weeks here, and we got to see the little heartbeat.

Over Thanksgiving weekend, we went up near the water tower to take some family pictures.

Family Night is always fun.
On Friday morning, we went on an awesome little hike up the black mountain to the temple quarry.
This lava rock was used for the basement walls of the St. George temple.
Back at Bob's, they had a cute little carnival for the kids. Kira and I painted my kids' faces. Eden wanted a heart, and Levi wanted Joker.
Instead of Silly Song Night this year, we made commercials. They were really funny! My favorite was Paul's family with the Sharpie and Parry with the Glad wrap. "Imagine the possibilities!"
