Last night, Jonah was being so funny! I don't know if I can recreate the atmosphere; you might have had to have been there. I was at the counter making myself a chicken salad sandwich, and Jonah was at the table, apparently watching. I cut a tomato slice and put it on the bread, placed a sliced pickle on, added a chunk of lettuce, and put the top piece of bread on.
Jonah: "Wow, Mom! Awesome job!" (Giving me a thumbs-up) "You did an awesome job! That was great!"
I started laughing so hard. I guess he listens when I praise him.
When I came over to the table to eat my sandwich, he started "talking" to me in his vibrato singing voice. I joined in and we just sat there, having a conversation that sounded a lot like an amateur opera. Hope the neighbors couldn't hear.

That's really funny. I think I can picture the environment. And I love when kids understand sarcasm and give it right back to you.
And hello...fun new craft blog! You didn't even publicize about it! I'm so glad I left a comment here so I found it (since I usually read things in Google Reader, whhhhich I'm adding Green Apple Orchard to) Fun!
Hahaha! I miss him! He's a funny kid!
That's cute. That just goes to show how much he must love the priase you give him. What a great kid you've got.
You have to love those moments! It's funny how when you tell them to other people, you realize how dumb it sounds, but those are the moments that can mean the most. Life's a funny thing.
Very cute! I can totally relate... I love it when my girls let me know what a great job I'm doing!
He must be really keening in on the praise you give him. That, in itself, is good to know. He is a funny guy. Better to praise you than to chew you out. (Think about it) You are a lucky mom. I'm sure that Peter is involved in all of this too.
What a funny guy! That's awesome. You defintely did NOT have to be there to get a laugh out of that story!
hahahaha! funny! hahahaha!
