Eden turns 4!

Eden's birthday was yesterday. We messed up on the date and told her that her birthday was on Sunday, and we didn't have the heart to tell her when we figured out it wasn't, so we just went with it! She ended up having a great day. She got her pink cake, as requested, and this morning, I let her open a few of the presents we got her. She can open the other two at her birthday party this weekend. Of course, there was a little drama with the presents. Levi wanted to hold them, and she was not having it. I hope she can act a little nicer at her birthday party.
She was super excited about this Strawberry Shortcake car. She has been eying it for weeks at Wal-Mart.

Be Loyal To The Royal Within

I spent the last week at Girls Camp for our ward. It was such a blast! I had forgotten how crazy and fun Girls Camp is; I hadn't been since I was in Young Women myself. The theme was University of You, and each ward had a University name, mascot, and colors. We were the University of Infinite Worth, with Royals for our mascot and royal blue and silver for our colors. The stake did an awesome job; everything was centered around the University theme. It was so much fun getting to know the girls better!

I may be biased, but I think our cabin had the best decorations!

These kids were beat after playing and swimming all day yesterday.Aren't these the coolest pajamas you've ever seen? Jonah was a little excited to wear them to bed tonight and asked for his picture to be taken. He said, "Mom, I look like a toy! I'm Buzz Lightyear from Star Command!"

Last Week of Preschool!

I can't believe that school is out. It's going to be hard to keep the TV from going all day. I have lots of stuff planned for the summer, but hopefully it will end up being fun and not stress us all out.

I went to the kids' classes this week so I could visit and take some pictures. I spent most of Tuesday in Jonah's class because Eden's class had a parents party today and I wouldn't be able to go into Jonah's class at all.

Jonah has absolutely loved having Ms. Amy as his teacher this year. He has met his goals, learned a ton, and made some good friends. He is already reading sight words. We practice reading every day. Ms. Amy has spent the last couple of weeks talking and reading books about going to Kindergarten. I don't know if Jonah fully understands it yet, but he will come August! Here he is playing with Play Dough.Ms. Amy's circle time is really great. The kids are singing the choo-choo train song here.

Today Levi and I went to Eden's class for the parent party. We watched a cute video with pictures of the kids throughout the year. Eden's teacher even gave us a copy to take home. Eden has watched it about 6 times today! I thinks she's a little narcissistic; she loves seeing herself on TV!

Eden has also grown a ton this year. She has met all of her goals in the classroom and for speech. She only has two speech goals for next year, so I am not really concerned about her speech anymore.

Ms. Arleen has been a great teacher for Eden. She has been stern when Eden has needed it, but has also been a lot of fun! Eden loves preschool and I'm so glad that she gets to go again next year!

Teacher Gift Ideas

Wow, I can't believe it's the last week of school! I don't think my kids have any idea. I was looking for some cute ideas for teacher gifts and found something I wanted to share! I usually give gift cards because teacher supposedly like picking their own stuff out (I can appreciate this), but I did that for Christmas, so I thought I'd try to find a gift they didn't already have fifty of or wouldn't want to return. Sadly, I can't take credit for this idea, but what about beach towels and sunscreen?

You might be wondering why I have five gifts for teachers. I included each of the kids' class aides and their speech teacher, so five all together.

I got these cute striped beach towels at Target for $5 and some change. The Hot Tamales came from the Dollar Tree, and the sunscreen was in the travel section at Target for $.99 each. Then I had the kids each sign the little note from Rachel's blog post.
