Tagged...

Thanks a lot, Lisa! Ha ha, just kidding. Okay, here I go. These are going to be pretty obvious.

3 Joys:

1- My family! Peter makes me laugh a lot and is always making sure that I'm happy. And I know I might complain about them sometimes, but my kids sure bring a lot of joy into my life! I just love it when they learn something new or when they tell me they love me! Even Eden's annoying, "Monnie! Monnie! Monnie!" a million times a day just makes me smile.

2- Music. I pretty much enjoy all genres of music, and I almost always have music on. I find it really lightens my mood.

3. The Gospel. Nuff said.

3 Fears:

1. That it will be a long time until I ever get out of this "skinny fat" stage (if I ever do). You know, where you're skinny and fat at the same time? In other words, you look fit, but you have absolutely no muscle mass or definition and clothes hide the flab pretty well. Well, Peter knows what I'm talking about at least.

2. That the government will make us get National I.D. cards and government health care.

3. That I won't be able to raise my kids in a small town.

3 Goals:

1-To finish my degree-someday!

2- To continue working on my food storage. I want to start bottling meat and produce.

3. To potty train at least one kid by the end of the year!

3 Current Obsessions/Collections:

1-So You Think You Can Dance, although I have missed 2 weeks in a row. (on vacation)

2- Blogging (obviously)

3- Baby fat (an obsession, not collection)

3 Random/Surprising Facts:

1-I just went blonde! (see below)

2- I cannot go to bed before 10:30 pm.

3- I shave my arms.

You're tagged if you want to be!

Here I Am

Yes, I did it. Here is the result, although I am going in tomorrow morning to add some low lights. We'll see how it turns out. I am getting used to it and I like it. It's a nice change, but not a permanent one!

It's Officially Summer...

Jonah got a sunflower seed planted into a cup from Primary a few months ago, and we decided to plant it in our garden and see what happened. It grew pretty fast, and just a few days ago I noticed that it was blooming. I took a few pictures- it looked so happy!
Today, the day after the "first day of summer," I went out back to water the sunflower. Well, this is what I found. Poor guy.
We couldn't stop laughing. That thing was literally in despair. I also found our strawberry plant totally charred by the heat. I think it was pretty much done anyway. But man, it's hot out there! I think it was 113 degrees today!
That poor sunflower lasted about as long as it could (only a few days!). As you can guess, we will not be planting anything for a while.

Swimming at Grandma's

This is actually a week old, but I thought I'd post these pictures of swimming at Grandma and Grandpa Shirley's house. The kids were a little tentative about the bigger pool, but they had a good time- especially Levi!

I Love Sweet Potatoes

Levi usually eats without making any messes, but for some reason this time he kept putting his hands in his mouth and rubbing his face afterward. It was pretty messy!
