Levi!
Levi has been potty trained for a whole week! Who knew that Dum Dums and Star Wars figures could be yield such great results? We started last Saturday, and he has been doing fabulously! He had a few pee accidents his first few days. I thought he might have a problem pooping like some kids do, but he was a pro from the get-go and has yet to have an accident. He is in Pull-Ups so far at night, but I think he might be already ready for undies at night.I can't tell you how much of a relief it is to have all of these kids potty-trained. Potty training is not my favorite task, but thanks to some good advice I received a long time ago and a little research on my own, we have had three pretty good experiences. We had three kids in diapers for at least a year, so we have definitely paid our dues, both figuratively and literally! It will be nice to have a break from diapers.

Awesome! I am super jealous, I seriously need to get Hannah potty trained.
Oh my goodness! We need to have a party!! Yay for Levi...he is even a BIGGER boy than I thought!
Ya for you! And Levi too I suppose, but I think the bigger pat on the back should always go to the mommy!
I'm terrified to start the infamous potty training. It seriously sends shivers down my spine. What great advice did you get and what helpful tips can you pass my way?
Well I know you're asking her but one piece of advice I have is when you do tackle it, don't wait long to teach them how to wipe themselves well! The whole point of potty training is so you no longer need to help and you can free up some time for yourself and other things. It's always best to wait until your kid wants to potty train and you'll know if they are ready because they have to have a certain understanding and a certain level of communication. You have to believe that your kid is old enough to realize they have to poop, go to the potty, get all ready by themselves and actually do it, then wipe thoroughly by themselves. If you can't picture that happening, then they are not ready of course which is where I stand with Phoenix, way too young at 2 1/2.
You have a while before you have to think about this.
Oh you are one lucky mamma!!! Great job Levi (and mom)!! =)
Camie, Kathy gave me the best potty training advice ever. WAIT. If you are not 100% sure they are "getting it" in the first hour, WAIT. I have heard so many horror stories of moms who forced the kid into doing it according to their timetable and then had pee and poop accidents for months and even years later. My kids were all at least 3 1/2 before I even started (well Levi is about 3 years 3 mo). I would much rather clean poop out of a diaper than out of undies. Thank you, Kathy!!!
Seriously, Shar is bugging me about Phoenix who is only 2 1/2!! He's not the one who has to deal with it so I've been telling him to butt out. Phoenix can barely talk...that's too young, you have to have good communication and understanding with them. I am WAITING. Connie is right! Better to change a poopy diaper than clean out poopy underwear! Yuck.
