So You Think You Know Me?

Favorite Pixar movie? I had to really think about this one. I still don't know! It's a tie between Monsters Inc. and Up. I love the relationship between Boo and Sulley and I love Mike's comedic timing. Up is more serious, but it is so tender. Love it.

Favorite Disney Movie? This is hard too! I have to pick Robin Hood, The Little Mermaid, and Meet the Robinsons. Robin Hood is so classic and funny, The Little Mermaid is beautiful and I love the music, and I love the story of Meet the Robinsons. I cry EVERY TIME at the end, when Lewis gets adopted. Sorry, spoiler there.

Why were you given your particular name? It was my dad's mission president's wife's name.

How many brothers and sisters do you have? Four sisters, one brother.

What is your favorite thing to do? Eat, read, plan parties, sew and make stuff.

What is your favorite food? Fruit and bread.

What is your favorite book? Pride and Prejudice. Sorry it's not a very original choice, but it's true.

What is your favorite candy bar? Dove Dark.

What is your favorite cookie? Sugar cookies probably, but I'm not too picky. Just don't put too many chocolate chips in the chocolate chip cookies!

What is your favorite sport? Watch: Football, if it's college or HS, Basketball, all Olympics. Participate: Cross Country. I like to play volleyball too, but I suck.

What is your favorite kind of music? Everything. Really.

What is your favorite song? Um, yeah right. But right now, I really love Lost by Michael Buble. I wish it could have been our wedding song.

What do you want to be when you grow up? A combo of my mom and dad.

How many kids do you want? Four.

What is your favorite temple? Las Vegas and San Diego.

What place you would like to know about? Anywhere with a rich history, like back east in the Civil War states.

What place would you like to visit? Mexico, Europe, Scandinavia.

What is your favorite thing about your mom? She is beyond selfless. It's effortless for her too. She never puts herself first, and I used to think it was just because that's what moms do, but now that I'm a mom, I can see that it's more than that. She really is that person.

What is your favorite thing about your dad? My dad is a great people person. Everyone likes him
and he likes everyone. He is very charming. He also is very opinionated, but is pretty much always right. Just like me :)

What is your favorite thing about yourself? I am thorough. I don't do only half of the job. I finish what I start and I do a decent job too. I have a good work ethic. Oh, and I like my small feet :)

Do you like to sing? Yep, but I'm not really good anymore. I think I could have damaged my voice yelling at football and basketball games all those years.

Do you like to dance? Yes, but I am very uncoordinated and therefore look really dumb when I dance, especially if I'm with my sisters, who all have good moves.

Do you like to play a musical instrument? What musical instruments can you play? I play a *little* piano, if you could even call it that.

What is your favorite type of art? I agree with my sister- fashion and make-up. It's amazing what people can create.

Have you ever seen a Broadway musical? Do you like theater? Yes, I have only seen Wicked, and I would love to see more.

Do you like building things? Um, Legos are about as far as I go.

What would you like to learn about cars? I'm okay with the fact that I don't know too much. But I need a refresher on how to change a tire.

What would you like to teach others about? Grammar and Spelling. Maybe I'm destined to be an English teacher. Um, and I love teaching the Gospel.

What are three adjectives which describe you? Honest, Perfectionist, Sentimental.

How would your friend describe you to someone who has never seen you? She's short and skinny, with short reddish hair.

In five years, what kind of person will you be? I'm sure I will be the same, but hopefully I will have improved on my bad qualities.

In ten years, what kind of person will you be? I will be forty, so I might be going through a mid-life crisis, but I really hope not. Hopefully by then I will have calmed down about aging.

What do you want to be doing in five years? Finishing school.

What do you want to be doing in ten years? Maybe teaching, maybe not, but most definitely living in a smaller town.

What are your favorite subjects in school? English, History, and Music.

When you have an hour of free time, what do you like to do? Watch TV while I sew or make a quick shopping run.

Do you have any pets? No.

What was the last book you read? Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days

Do you like to cook? When I'm in the mood.

What's your favorite food? I already said: fruit and bread!

Have you ever lived in another country? Yes, Russia.

Have you ever met a famous person? Well, just Henry B. Eyring and Richard G. Scott, but no one famous outside the LDS world.

What countries have you visited? China, Russia, Finland, Germany, Mexico.

What do you do on Sundays? Sometimes meetings, get ready for church, go to church, cook breakfast for dinner and relax!

What do you do? What's your job? I'm the MOM. Enough said.

What is your motto in life? Well, I am trying to adopt the motto on my blog title: "Come what may, and love it." I'm not good with change, surprises, and general upheaval of any kind, but I am trying to get better at adjusting and loving life as it happens.

What kind of people do you like? Funny and outgoing people. I am drawn to them.

Which languages do you speak? English, and a little Russian, and I can understand a little Spanish.

What are you best at? Gosh, I'm not really great at anything. I can do a lot of things, but I'm pretty mediocre at all of them. I guess I'm pretty good at games. Card games and board games.

Who do you respect the most? My parents and grandparents.

Who has had the most influence in your life? Absolutely my parents.

Would you like to be famous? No, thanks. I have no interest in being famous. The crappiness would outweigh whatever good you got from it.

Are you a 'morning' or 'night' person? Night owl all the way.

When do you feel best? When I'm busy, but not stressed.

How many times did you move as a child? Eight.

What cartoon character best describes you? Mrs. Incredible! Same hair, same spunky attitude.

If you could live anywhere in the world for a year, where would it be? Costa Rica. It's beautiful, I could do Humanitarian work, and I could learn Spanish.

If you knew you could try anything and not fail, what dream would you attempt? Starting a fabric business.

What super-power would you most like to have, and why? Time warping, so I could go back and remember what it was like to be a kid. Plus, I could see how my own kids turn out and also visit historical times.

Would you rather take pictures or be in pictures? I like taking pictures and would love to get better, but I also like being in pictures, especially if the photographer can make me look good. That's not easy!

Are you a beach, country or city person? Country girl, all the way.

Where do you spend most of your money? I'm assuming this is after the necessities are bought and paid for. Clothes stores, craft stores, and sometimes the MAC counter.

Apple juice or orange juice? Orange juice.

Which do you prefer, sweet or salty foods? Both and together.

Ninjas or pirates? Pirates!

What was your favorite childhood television program? Sesame Street, My Little Ponies, Rainbow Bright, Rose Petal Place, Saved By the Bell...

Are you a collector of anything? Shoes, perfume (I am my grandma's granddaughter), old letters, books.

If you could be any animal, what would you be? I would hate to be an animal, but I guess I'd pick a lion so at least I'm at the top of the food chain!

What is usually your first thought when you wake up? Ugh... Just five more minutes!

What do you usually think about right before falling asleep? I need to stop sleeping on my stomach, but this is sooooo comfortable...

What's your favorite color? navy blue

What's your favorite animal? I guess dogs.

Do you believe in extraterrestrials or life on other planets? I don't give a hoot either way. Seriously, who cares?

Do you believe in ghosts? Well, I wouldn't call them ghosts, so no.

Ever been addicted to a video/computer game? Which one(s)? No, but if I was alone and depressed, I think I could get really addicted to Rock Band, especially the Beatles version.

You're given 1 million dollars, what do you spend it on? My parents, education, missions, a home, and maybe starting a non-profit.

Have any bad habits? Interrupting. Oh yeah, and I'm sometimes judgmental. Trying to change!

Which bad habits, if any, drive you crazy? TAILGATING.

Have any celebrity crushes? Yep, mostly girls! Victoria Beckham, Natalie Portman, Heidi Klum, and Blair Waldorf (a fictional character). Also Hugh Jackman and Benjamin Bratt.

List 1 thing you wish you could change about yourself: I wish I could force myself to be more laid back. Working on that. And I'd love longer eyelashes :)

Any tattoos or piercings? Just regular ol' ear piercings.

What's the first thing you notice in the opposite sex? Everything at once, but I notice physique and sense of humor mostly.

What personality traits do you dislike in other people? When people are cocky, anti-social, or cynical.

Are you mostly a clean or messy person? Mostly clean, a little bit messy.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live? I'm assuming this means for longer than a year (see above)? So far, right here. I couldn't live anywhere too far from family, so that rules out all the cool places. Maybe someday a small town in Arizona or California.

List 5 goals on your life's to-do list: 1. Coach track or CC someday 2. Finish school 3. Go on a mission with Peter 4. Run a marathon 5. Finish my personal history.

Name 1 regret you have: Being so self-conscious in high school and college.

Name 1 thing you miss about being a kid: Not having to worry about money as much, being in school, hanging out with friends, complete freedom, and living at home with my family.

Name 1 thing you love about being an adult: I get my own car, get my own kids, and get to make the decisions.

What's your favorite song of the moment? Anything from Glee, Two is Better Than One, and Use Somebody (Brooke White, not Kings of Leon)

What's your favorite thing to do on a Saturday night? It depends on my mood, but my favorite is to go out with Peter and our friends for date night.

Have any hidden talents? I don't think so. Hidden interests, maybe.

You're about to walk the green mile, what do you have as your last meal? Probably Famous Dave's.

What would be your dream job? Teaching English (mostly grammar, so maybe AP) and coaching track.

Which would you rather have, 100 million dollars or true love? I already have true love; I want the money, ha ha! (Good one, Lex!)

If you could have 3 wishes granted, what would they be? 1. My kids grow up healthy and smart and stay strong in the church 2. That Peter and I could live to see our great-grandkids 3. No empty chairs.

Ever wish you were born the opposite sex? If so, why? Heck, no! Yes, we have to deal with womanly issues and childbirth, but I would never want to be a guy! Guys are gross and girls are feminine and beautiful!

Name 1 thing not many people know about you: I secretly wish I could play the oboe.

If you HAD to change your name, what would you change it to? I can't picture myself as anyone else, but it would have to be something unique but not weird, with a classic vibe. I don't have any ideas.

If you could have a room full of any one thing, what would it be? Um, money? Or maybe family members if it was a really big room. But then we'd need food and cards.

If you could only see black and white except for one color, what color would you choose to see? Blue.

If you could choose one of your personality traits to pass on to your children, what would it be? My work ethic or obedience.

Would you rather teach a young child to read or have to learn again for yourself? Both. I would love to teach reading, but I would also love to have learned to read from the Spaulding method. It's brilliant!

What is the best advice you've ever given and received? I hope I've given good advice. I think the best advice I've given is to not get married too young and when you do, move away from both sides of parents so you can learn to solve your problems on your own. Best advice given to me? Enjoy the little moments with your kids as they grow up, because it goes by fast.

Favorite articles of clothing? My good jeans, AE flip flops, my gray boyfriend cardigan, and my collection of heels.

Favorite Instrument? Guitar, piano, french horn, and oboe.

Favorite Actors? Steve Carrell, Alec Baldwin, Jack Black.

Favorite Actresses? Sandra Bullock and Jennifer Aniston.

Favorite vocalists? Male? Paul McCartney, John Mayer, Brandon Flowers (Killers), Michael Buble, Jeff Lynne (ELO).

Female? No denying Celine Dion is pretty amazing. Also Kristin Chenoweth, Sarah Brightman, Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift, Barbara Streisand, and All the Spice Girls besides Ginger (Geri Halliwell) :)
