Canning, Painting, and Just Hanging Out

So yesterday I canned blackberry pie filling. I think it turned out well. I had a pint leftover that I didn't can, so it's in the fridge ready to use on waffles or ice cream. I majorly stained two of my dishrags and this wooden spoon while doing this, but it was worth it!I've also been painting swatches of slate blue on my walls, so if you come over, don't mind the random squares of blue all over! I think I decided on one, and as soon as I can afford the paint, I'll be painting this place like crazy!

The kids have been having lots of fun at school and have been playing hard at home. Yesterday we saw a lizard on the back patio and the kids were so excited! They wanted to go out and pick it up, but that dude was fast and ran away before we even could get the door opened. I've seen him around before, so maybe we'll see him again soon.

I wonder how many times you'll paint that house while you're living there! ha ha It's always fun to see though.

I want to see the samples you've painted! You'll have to post some pictures. I'm assuming you're doing this in your front room area. I think slate blue would look awesome with your chocolate brown kitchen!!!

BTW-you're a total stick and you look fabulous :) LOVE YA

We have a ton of lizards in our back 'yard'! The kids get so excited when they see them.

The blackberry pie filling looks and sounds amazing. We'll be getting some fresh blackberries from the mountains in the next week or so. What recipe did you use? I've been looking for a good one.
