It's Fair Time!

We had a great time at the fair this year. We were a little wiped out by all of the traveling and playing we had been doing before our fair trip.

But we made it to Grandpa and Grandma's house and had a fun time. We wished we could have hung out with Grandpa a little more. We were excited that Lexie, Marcelus and Phoenix could come this year. Sharrid came up a few days later.

Levi and Eden didn't love the pony rides as much as Jonah did. That kid would ride ponies all day if we'd let him! He's a natural country boy.

The kids loved the tractor displays out front.

And of course, the small animal pavilion was a big hit with the kids.
Kira was pretty excited about the Fine Arts and the homemade Birch Beer.
The Fair kind of had a Pirate theme this year, which was really cool. The Sweeny Brothers Band had a pirate show instead of a hillbilly show this year and they were great! They gave the kids pieces of pirates' gold.

Jonah won twice at the egg raffle in the Fine Arts building. He got free ice cream both times. That is one lucky kid!

And of course, we had to take the kids to the carnival. They loved riding the little kiddie rides, although Jonah really wanted to go on the Super Slide this year even though he wasn't even close to the height requirement. I'd say maybe next year, but I doubt he'll grow a whole foot by next April.
