I have some small gripes. This is so not a big deal, but I thought I'd just vent a little. I really like the show "So You Think You Can Dance." Here are the problems, though:1. What is with that LAME title? Couldn't they think of anything better than that? It is just wordy and sounds dumb.
2. Sorry, but I can't stand the hostess of the show, Cat Deeley. I don't mind British accents, but hers sounds horrible! It is so annoying and she also says the dumbest things (although I can't completely blame her because I'm sure it is scripted). Still, I just really cringe every time she starts talking.
3. Right now the show is still in its audition phase. I know that they do it for ratings and for the overall entertainment value, blah blah blah. But I want to watch the dance auditions, not the winners celebrating by dancing in the hallway like goons. They showed a ton of dancers who made the first cut celebrating in the hallway, but why didn't we see them audition? Am I missing something here? They also give way more airtime to the losers who don't know what they are doing, but no airtime to half of the people who made it through. It's like American Idol, whose audition episodes also bug me. I just would rather watch someone who is really good or trying, than someone who dressed up in a chicken suit just because they are desperate to get on TV. Lame! I am not interested in being "entertained" by whack-job people who have no self-respect and submit themselves to national humiliation!Okay, I am done... (I have been complaining a lot lately, haven't I?)

Everything you said is totally true, once you get passed the dumb auditions, it is SWEET! I can't wait and therefore am not sad I missed wed. night of more auditions...
ha ha! i said that to josh last night too! why do people go on when they can't dance and all they show is them complaining that the judges suck! this is a "don't get me started subject"... :) aaahhh! there were some good highlights of fantastic dancers - hopefully the show is a great one!
I agree. That's why I don't watch reality t.v. anymore. I get annoyed by the auditions and some of the episode fillers they come up with. It's like, "Get to the meat of it, already!" I don't know if that makes sense, but I hear ya!
You're totally addicted aren't you? Don't worry I am to. Only I like the audition phase. I figure I'll see good dancers later, I like the ones that make fools of them selves (bad I know) I just think they must not have any friends who truely love them enough to tell them that they are bad.
I totally agree; however, I'm still addicted! Ben said the other day, "oh, no, you are not going to get into that show again this year!" And, who is the one flipping it to Fox? Ben! He's addicted too! I just LOVE this show! I do think the name is lame and I can't stand Kat and I can't stand the idiots who are looking for 10 seconds of fame. But the dancing is awesome! We mainly watched Wed episode because it showed the Salt Lake City auditions!!
You read my mind! I love this show! It's one of my guilty pleasures. However, I hate Kat, she tries way too hard. The name is like ten syllables to long and the auditions also drive me crazy, thank goodness for tivo.
okay connie, do you guys have like real t.v now? cause you guys talk about all these shows and basketball games, where are you seeing them all?
