Sometimes I wonder if the leaders of the Church are serious when they ask us to have FHE every week. Maybe those of us with really young kids should be exempt. Surely, they wouldn't endorse an FHE like we had recently.
We decided that our kids might like to decorate pumpkins for Halloween. They're getting older- they can handle it, right? Well, it was going pretty well at first. Jonah was having a blast with the permanent markers *cringe*. Eden didn't really understand, but hey, there were stickers involved, so it was fun. Jonah loved the glitter glue, which never seemed to dry, and started rubbing it all over his arms. For some reason Eden lost it, as seen in the pictures, and continued screaming until she went to bed. So we quickly took a picture of our finished masterpieces and went upstairs to put her in bed. After that, we noticed how quiet it was even though Jonah wasn't in bed yet. And just as we suspected, Jonah was up to something. He had taken all four pumpkins off of the counter and was playing with them on the couch- wet glue and glitter everywhere.
So, that made for a fun night. I think from now on we'll just stick to the usual FHE: singing a few Primary songs and talking about Jesus.

Cute FHE night!!! I think we will get points just for attempting, though the attempt sometimes may not be worth it!! Your kids are sooo cute, can't wait to see them over Thanksgiving!
